How Vivaldi handles your data, where it's stored, and what certifications back their claims.
Norway (HQ: Oslo, Norway) / Vivaldi Technologies AS
Vivaldi Technologies is based in Oslo, Norway, and falls under GDPR as an EEA company. The Norwegian data protection authority (Datatilsynet) oversees compliance. Vivaldi does not track, profile, or sell user data. Sync data is stored on Vivaldi's own servers in Iceland using end-to-end encryption. Each browser installation sends a daily ping with anonymized technical data (version, screen resolution) to count active users. IP addresses are truncated. Some Chromium-inherited Google features (like search suggestions) are on by default but you can turn them off in settings.
