Euria is a free AI assistant from Infomaniak, a Swiss company with its head office in Geneva. You ask questions, get text rewritten or translated, summarise PDFs and images, and turn recordings into text. When an answer needs fresh information, Euria searches the web. You use Euria in the browser and in the iPhone and Android apps. Infomaniak also builds it into Mail, kDrive and kChat. On my kSuite, Euria in Mail needs the paid my kSuite+ plan.
If you already have an Infomaniak address, this is the short route away from ChatGPT or Gemini. The free my kSuite plan bundles Euria with one email address, 20 GB for mail and 15 GB of cloud storage.
How Euria handles your chats
Infomaniak says your data, files and conversations will never train its models. The company also says your data stays in Switzerland, in data centres it runs itself in Geneva, with no foreign public cloud involved. Ephemeral mode leaves no trace of a chat once the session ends, according to Infomaniak. Regular chats stay in your history, and you can delete them. We found no retention period on the Infomaniak pages we read.
Those promises come from Infomaniak, and the pages we read don't point to an outside audit of them. In practice, you're taking the company's word.
Infomaniak also says heat from those data centres warms up to 6,000 homes in Geneva.
Worth knowing
Infomaniak says Euria runs open source models, but doesn't say which model answers your chat. Its guide names Mistral, Whisper, DeepSeek, Llama and Granite as the base of its AI. DeepSeek comes from a Chinese company, and one Reddit commenter says Euria runs a Chinese model. Infomaniak says it hosts the models itself and shares nothing with third parties.
The free plan has a message limit, and Infomaniak doesn't publish the number. The limit runs on a rolling 24-hour window: each message frees up again 24 hours after you send it. You also get 2 projects with 5 conversations each, and one conversation stops at 254,000 tokens (small chunks of text). my kSuite+ unlocks Euria "for intensive daily use" and lifts the project limits, but gives no message number either.
Infomaniak's head office is in Switzerland, outside the EU. The company says Euria follows both the GDPR and Swiss data protection law. In the Dutch App Store, the provider hasn't identified itself as a trader, so the store says EU consumer rights don't apply to your agreement for the app.
